When I heard that JLT was to release a brand new single the excitement just sent shivers and goosebumps throughout my body. I knew something special would be on its way. Just like any other releases it will be a great mix of genres to give us something new. And I wasn’t wrong. Self-penned track and not to mis taken with the Mavericks classic back in 1998. In a statement from the trio, they say “When the song was just a blank sheet on the table, the goal was to write a song that invites joy and creates a feeling where the listener can escape time and space for a moment. The focus of the song is the groove and the pumping double bass, which really takes centre stage. So lets take a listen to these two tracks
Dance The Night Away (Lindberg)
The tracks starts with a high-octane intro that instantly gets the feet tapping away. Just has I thought you can hear the fusions of country/swing backed by the modern rockin rhythm of the guitar and bass. The track keeps you intrigued all the way through with-it catchy backing. John’s vocals are to his usual standard of awesomeness. And you will be acting on the instructions to Dance the Night Away.
Help ( Lennon–McCartney)
First released in July 1965 by the kings of the Mersey beat. The beatles became and still are the most famous band world wide. They left us some amazing hits that continue to amaze new audiances’s today. Songs like “Twist and Shout”, "Eight Days a Week", "Ticket to Ride", "Help!", "Yesterday" and "We Can Work It Out". And im my opinion their best track was Help. Now this track is getting the JLT treatment to the fullest with a complete new mix on both the backing and vocally. The intro is just mind blowing, vocals kick in with a true close tribute to the original. But the deep vocal of the lyrics “Wont you Please Please Help Me” with have the girls screaming once again. The track is just brilliant with its new remixed upto date rockabilly beat,
Summary
JLT rarely fail to bring us the best of what they can achieve. But with this one they have set the bar so high im not even sure they could match it. Its refreshing, its catchy its up-beat and it just pura and simple Rock n Roll. AWESOME
Recommendation
Don’t hesitate, buy it.
