Review

Danny Fisher as been Rockin the Rockin scene now close to thirty years. And he is still amazing audience’s young and old today. If entertainers needed a C.V to get bookings, well Dannys would be a glowing reference from some of the top venues and celebrities. He has entertained in venues with a hundred seats to Areana’s and theatres such as The Royal Albert Hall, Wembley Arena and Manchester Arena. Danny is more famous for his personal tribute to the King Elvis. His unique vocal catches the very essence of the king’s style and tone. Danny often appears on social media giving his loyal fans a chance to request songs that they like him to perform. Danny Love is with Rock ‘n’ Roll, Rockabilly and often writes his own songs. The four we are reviewing are all self-penned tracks and were recorded in Birmingham at Zacs Shack studios. Produced/Engineered and all instruments played by Zac Dragan Zdravkovic. Both these single can be purchased directly from Danny from his social media page. https://www.dannyfisher.co.uk/ . Danny is also a member at https://www.lordstaverners.org/ that helps raise funds to empower young people through the sport of cricket. This just goes to show the kind heart that this vocal talent Danny Fisher as.

Track by track

That’s All we got (side A)

Drums and guitar give this great intro to this very catchy track. Danny vocals are unmistakable and sounding strong. Hitting each note with ease. Its mid paced ballad that is brilliantly written with sing along lyrics. A dance floor filler that I feel sure will go well with the DJs.  Zac matches Dannys vocals with the great backing track.

No One To Blame (side B)

Turn that volume up and be prepared to dance away to this fast-paced rocker. Another great intro leading to what seems like a Life story put into song. The sound comes right out of the fifties. The vocals coming from way down in the throat. Once again Danny showing his talent as a lyricist.

Dogging Around (side A)

Another rockin track from the hip shakin Danny. Letting himself go during the musical break. Performed well with a happy hand clapping vibe and a lip curling vocal. His Elvis influence comes shining through.  If he sang this at the Creole (venue from the film king creole) his name would be in lights. Great jiver and bopper.

Put It In A Song (side B)

Stunning backing vocals throughout on this cracking track. Dannys Vibrato ends each line giving this song a full romantic feel. If he puts anything into this song, its his heart and soul. This song shows the venerable side to his writing. Vocally spot on and will be a great stroller at many events.

Summary

Four great tracks that clearly place Danny in the great writer’s club. This to me is not side A and B, both singles are double A siders.  The production side is really well done being mixed to a very high standard. I already know how good a entertainer Danny is and here is a chance for those that haven’t heard him before,

Recommendation

Vinyl is making a come back in a big way. And these two singles should be on the top of your wants list.
