Electric Love combines rockabilly, rock 'n' roll, doo-wop, and big band swing with a delightful modern twist. This seven track EP has all the songs written by Tammy Whetham herself.

To celebrate, Miss Tammy Darling will perform the EP live at The Jazz Room in Waterloo, Ontario on Sunday,16th April 2023. The adorable pin-up will be supported by a five-piece band and quintessential backup singers. The EP Release Party will include a set featuring music by Tammy’s favourite female artists of the mid-century, as Miss Darling strives to bring awareness to influential female artists of the past. Listeners will enjoy music by Brenda Lee, Wanda Jackson, Petula Clark, Dusty Springfield and more. Tammy enjoys blending the old and the new, by continuing to sing favourites of the past alongside new originals. So, Let’s Review: Let’s Go- What an appropriate title to start with so “Let’s Go” daddio with this superb jiver has an awesome driving beat with the lyrics referring to cruising up the highway. Boogie into The Night- A lively swing jive number which will have you grooving all-round the floor. Musically the band play tight with Tammy’s voice in the for front with those magnificent vocals. Pretty Little Dress- Long vocal intro to this track before it breaks into a fast-paced tune with a nice beat, there are some neat guitar breaks along the way to. Electric Love- So here we come to the title track, a number which for me has a 1970s feel about it and a rather catchy sing a long chorus. The tune has you bouncing back to those days when you danced all night and worked all day. Hollywood Romance- A dreamy ballad story about looking for Hollywood romance beautifully sung by Tammy. Toxic Witch- A tongue in cheek lyric number about a Toxic Witch with some cool Saxophone playing. Again a great lively tune which has a sing a long vibe. Mr Bartender- Initially Tammy’s debt single in 2021 as the title suggests this is all about the bartender mixing and shaking those cocktails. Love the saxophone interlude and tinkling piano whilst the lyrics make your mouth water mentioning all those cocktails, neat track to end with.

So to summarise here we have a debt Ep by a young female artist whom has been inspired by the 1950s era and has written seven tracks that will take you back to those days. The vocals and music composition has been produced well considering the sounds from those days. Recommend you take a listen of better still get along to see Miss Tammy Darling perform. https://youtu.be/HaWsrCdZOTs
