Danny returns to Foot Tapping Records for his third release. The first two “Sings to t

he Music Of Zacmondo & Pat Rayford”  “Rock and Roll with Danny” which are still available and shows Danny’s Talent as the brilliant vocalist he is. Remember we didn’t get to really see Danny until he was around 30 years old, but he has made up for this with some real nice treats both on recordings and live performances. Danny often appears live on his social media sites performing live for thousands of fans worldwide. Check out the links below and follow the great career of a talented artist.

I managed to see Danny live with his Crawfish Combo back in May at the chesterfield Rock n Roll club this year. And such a gentleman He was. A rockin 90-minute set was filled with old gold tracks and brand-new records. It was at the club that Danny told me about the upcoming Album. and has promised here it is for us to review. all instruments played by Zac Dragan Zdravkovic. Who is so talented and with Danny vocals just give the most authentic 1950s sound. So lets turn up the volume and see why “its in the blood of DANNY FISHER.

Track by track review

Doggin Around (Fisher)

(copied from October review) A rockin track from the hip shakin Danny. Letting himself go during the musical break. Performed well with a happy hand clapping vibe and a lip curling vocal. His Elvis influence comes shining through.  If he sang this at the Creole (venue from the film king creole) his name would be in lights. Great jiver and bopper

Crawfish (Wise/Weisman)

What a delight to hear a fresh take on the Elvis original. The sound splices between the sound of Vince Taylors “ Black Cadillac” and the James Bond theme”.  Zac as put together a great sound that is matched only with dannys vocal. A song you don’t hear often within the ETA (Elvis Tribute Artist) that mainly stick to the 40 Greatest hits. So applause goes out to Danny and Zac for giving us a new production of this great track.

No one to Blame. (Fisher)

(copied from October review) Turn that volume up and be prepared to dance away to this fast-paced rocker. Another great intro leading to what seems like a Life story put into song. The sound comes right out of the fifties. The vocals coming from way down in the throat. Once again Danny showing his talent as a lyricist.

I Just Found Out (Burnette Bro’s)

A gentle tapping of the ivories via Zac and a mellow guitar brings out a strong vocal from Danny.  new song for me and sang so brilliantly. Danny really has a vocal talent for this type of ballad. The backing is a carbon copy of the original johnny Burnette original from 1956 and was the flip side to the legendary track, “Lonesome Train”. Another track often sang by Danny and his Crawfish Combo band.

Over You (Fisher)

Always said that Danny wears his lyrics on his sleeve. Truth can often be found in songs and bring with them the emotion and the rawness. And you get to hear that in this vocal. Although it’s a personal song for danny it would be a great track for artist to record in different styles. Listen to the backing that gives song its rawness. The crying guitar and beating heart of the drums, all bring this track to a rockabilly blues classic. Great song.

Ruin (fisher)

If this was released by the great Johnny Cash, it would have been a smash hit for sure. Zac gives us a truly amazing sound on this track. with many twist and turns on the road to the devil. Showing his writing skill again Danny provides us with another upbeat blues track. a track that would suit most people’s lives nowadays. Every album has its favourite and this one is mine. LOVE IT.

Man With  fake Smile (Fisher)

Upbeat tearjerker from the boys on this great self-penned track. the highs of love and its woes as got many a song into the charts and made careers for some of yester year artist. and this would have been one of them tracks. This song should have sent Danny to heights in which he deserves to be. A simple catchy song with a great melody. Pat Boone would have snatched it up.

Oh Lord (Fisher)

A rockin Prayer performed with a simple request for life guidance. Something we all ask for from time to time. Very rare we hear the roots of rock n roll with its gospel links coming out in new songs. But once again Danny provides us with it. Again, a simple melody to great lyrics provides a great new element to this album.

Brand New Baby (Fisher)

Let’s Rock n Roll with this awesome track from Danny and Zac. Both really bring out the best in each other. A jiver for sure with this floor filling rocker. And when Danny rocks the whole joint rocks along. Great track lads.

That’s All We Got (Fisher)

(copied from October review) Drums and guitar give this great intro to this very catchy track. Danny vocals are unmistakable and sounding strong. Hitting each note with ease. Its mid paced ballad that is brilliantly written with sing along lyrics. A dance floor filler that I feel sure will go well with the DJs.  Zac matches Dannys vocals with the great backing track.

Put It In A Song (Fisher)

(copied from October review) Stunning backing vocals throughout on this cracking track. Dannys Vibrato ends each line giving this song a full romantic feel. If he puts anything into this song, its his heart and soul. This song shows the vunerable side to his writing. Vocally spot on and will be a great stroller at many events.

I Finally Found it (Fisher)

Ending on a High romantic love story. the backing music to this track is once again spell binding and intricate of finger twangling joy. Zac is some musician for sure. Another great lyrical track from Danny bringing this album to a close.

Danny wishes to express a very special thanks to Zac for all his hard work and tolerance in making this album.

Summary.

Well anybody that know the boys will know they don’t just turn out any old track just for the sake of a release. Many hour spent by Danny writing the tacks and just as long getting the backing music sorted. We are given a real treat of a great artist in Danny Fisher. Performing for over thirty years and still sounds as original and fresh today. 12 tracks,10 self-penned and two great covers of two of the greatest artist in rock n roll history. You want something new. Well hear it is. Now its going to be in our blood too.
