Well ahoy ho ho ho there rockin shipmates. captain hank with his very own koool rockin Christmas release. One that several thousand could relate to, me especially included there , a dyslexic santa letter or how it nearly becomes Satan before it’s been scribbled out to make it Santa, quite simple as it goes. only a couple of releases at the moment but sure to have. many more out soon with his great sound. He is currently working on a number of classic tunes at the moment, covering a unique spectrum in the rock to rockabilly genre. the captain himself has been on board for some time as a busy musician for bands. Playing on the upright for such bands as Hellbound Hepcats and Smoking Deville, now it’s his time to get out there on his projects and show this rockin world what he’s got. rockabilly is his main forte, being heavily inspired in swing country and surf. Recorded in the fun times of August and September 2024 in his own abode in Montreal, Canada. where this was also produced and all the fancy work done and mastered to finalizing, with amazing and talented musicians that accepted all the festivities to get into the holiday spirits

MERRY DYSLEXMAS,
So starting with a delightful slide guitar notes and immediate to the patterning on brushes on the snare build up to quick stop an bring in of the lead guitar slide up, and the ensemble together of all together hanks vocals and the joining on smooth backing vocals of which do the sentimental job of repat lines and call response , a nice steady drum pattern with the odd double beat and roll fill, odd structured pattern changes with the fill to represent the movement of the record, a brilliant timed clear slide guitar moments, several effect in this piece and broken down in to sections, story fied, the effect with what sound in between like jinglin bells , tambourine segments, and a buddy capture of solo notes on the xylophone, there a a wonderful slight echo on this giving spectacular full, a fulfilling guitar and slide solo givin full body to this , the image of berry on his Rudolph and helms rockin jingle bells, the captain has the odd line in between on raspy vocals grabbing attention and adding feelin emotion to certain lines and a fantastic finish with steel guitat and raspy to smooth grunted outro ascending vocals on a long powered end note…
Wel , wow thank you captain what can we say, that possibly hasn’t been said already , a true fine rockin great structure, a mini hint of traditional rockin country an I felt a little summery Hawaiian surfy like just laying you board on the front of water edge to have the essence, with the whole ensemble , effects of the steel guitar the old school up tempo gimmick doo wop with effects and backing singers, traditional country rockabilly meeting well new festive waves, bobby helm to Elvis,Berry to Setzer, the whole entirety of the mix up of what would happen writing to a baddy for a goody, yep I’ve written it wrong before, …and still do…
This piece will be played in any rock n roll rockabilly county r n b rockin club and on all airwaves of those in to any authentic sounding genre club, and could and should be played at any crimbo gathering for any time, it’ll be on my list ,,,, of tunes, with a few certain other , listen out!!
