The Jerrells, a country group from Austin, They perform a variety of swinging' roots music, from Texas Swing, to Country, to Rockabilly, and everything in between. They have been steady releasing tracks over the over the years. Its pretty difficult to find much about the actual band, but I assure you this, it’s not hard to see why they are becoming a top recognisable band. This release is just a rockin treat.
Track Review
One More Drink
This is a rock n roll treat with the great piano intro. With the sound of the classic “AT THE HOP”at the beginning with a countdown to a great sounding band Rockin and Rollin. Great lyrics tell the story of somebody who is going to be in trouble and placed in the doghouse again, (why do we tell them we will be back on time ) after spotting a real beauty strut her stuff on the dancefloor. Brilliant musical breaks both with piano and guitars. This track is three minutes of pure dancefloor enjoyment.
Shoot! Shoot!, Shoot!.
This good defiantly be a double A-Side release. Another rocking dance floor track. slight country feel added which gives it a true style of what the Jerrells are about. Once again impeccable musicianship and great vocals. slightly shorter track but with the same impact.
Summery.
Two great tracks from a top band. Looking forward to future releases from a great individual styled band.
