Track by track Review:
Until I’m Done- Slap away and start us off on a trip way down to the smoke on this jolly number that has you bouncing along to the beat.
Remember My Name- Somewhat gospel intro to this backwater country track riveted in the deep south. It has an upbeat cheerful air about it with some catchy riffs and playful fiddling from Alessandro.
You and I- Nice little carefree tune with Paolo playing an acoustic guitar accompanying his melodic vocals.
Goin’ Back for More- Back to a lively number which jumps along the frets with some harmonising backing vocals.
Don’t be Scared of the Dark- Smoochy idyllic tune with some caressing fiddle playing and soft vocals.
Martha- One of those songs reminiscent of the early 60s scope that tells of the number of woman in one’s life and the complications with them, enjoy the neat guitar breaks along the way.
Goin’ Down- Goin' Down is a song of forgiveness, which wants to see life from a different perspective. There are always two sides to the same coin, metaphorically two points of view. A phrase in the song, which talks about a love relationship that has ended, says: «...if I’ve done to you what you’ve done to me, I would set you free», so I wouldn't hold a grudge.
I’ve got a Smile for You- Paolo on his lap steel guitar gives it the Western swing touch on this one, it has a great beat to glide round the dancefloor to.
The Rain- A daunting feel to this track from the sound of the guitar and Paolo’s voice make it rather eerie , one to raise the goose bumps.
Blue Skies- If you like them songs that you can clap and foot tap to this one’s for you ,such a traditional country tune that’s sounds like its right out of Nashville.
Kauai- So we come to the last track and its an instrumental full of Hawaiian flavour named after the island there, nice soothing tune to end with.
To Summarise, had the pleasure of reviewing their single “Going Down” in 2023 which features here and have looked forward to their forthcoming album since and it hasn’t failed to please. It’s a nice easy listening affair, musically sound and professionally put together crank it up and give it a spin.

Band Bio:
Lovesick is an Italian based band formed of Paolo Roberto Pianezza and Francesca Alinovi. Two multi-instrumentalists, whose influences are deeply rooted in the American country, rock'n'roll and western swing music of the 40s and 50s.
In addition to their vocal harmonies, Paolo plays electric and acoustic guitar, as well as lap steel, Resonator and Dobro guitar. Francesca plays double bass with the addition of a brush pad, a percussion built into the double bass to keep the rhythm with a drum brush. The duo is joined by Alessandro Cosentino on fiddle and drums.
“Goin Down” and “Until I’m Done” are the first singles from Lovesick’s new album “Remember My Name”, scheduled for release on June 28th 2024. A new single called “You and I” will be out May the 3rd 2024. It will be distributed in Europe, USA and Canada.
