Another spicy bowl of dirty-low-fi tandoori flavoured trashabilly, like only chef Bloodshot Bill can cook!
BB must be the most prolific artist on the current rock’n’roll scene. It's quite difficult to keep track of all his outputs, as it comes thick (like blood) and fast. In recent years, he has also collaborated extensively with other artists such as Dick Dickerson and Mark Lee Allen. This time, his partner is Gérard van Herk, another Canadian fellow who was active in the 1980s in the sludgeabilly band ‘Deja Voodoo’.
‘Shot of Blood’ is just what it says, a transfusion that would make zombies dance at a voodoo gathering. Pass the blood to me bud!
‘She said no’, sang by Gerard, continues in the pure low-fi trashabilly mode, a kind of hypnotic sermon, that fails to convince his girlfriend to answer positively to any request.
Now if the shot of blood has left you hungry, take a good bite on this ‘shish taouk’. Rich in proteins!
