Review
The Man from the Rapids is back into wild waters again with these two brand new releases. Both tracks written by Paul himself. Coming in from Storrington near Worthing, West Sussex, UK Paul Continues to drive forward with his music and we will soon be treated to a brand new all original album, So watch this space. The track were recorded at The Sleepyhollow Recording Studio'( pjmrecordings@aol.com ) production by Pete Manville. its close to a year ago when we last reviewed for pauls “Train Mama” and now we look forward to this new single and up coming album release. So lets take a listen.
Nails (Mitchell)
Great guitar on the intro with its rockabilly neo structure. Lyrics are really well put together and vocals are once again Top Notch from Paul. There is a moral to the story behind the song that probably applies to us all. Great track Paul.
Sand Dune Queen (Mitchell)
Even though Paul informed me a little about the song it is so very clear that the sound is one of the great rockabilly master Johny Burnette & the Rock 'n' Roll Trio. The music really grabs your ears and shakes you about to the beat, Paul gives it a moody vocal . if this is what we can expect on the album? bring it on.
Summary.
Two tracks that goes to show Paul’s talents, both as a writer and vocalist. The tracks are really well produced and the sound quality is good. I like the way that paul brings us a modern sound but stays true to the roots of the lates seventies Neo rising.
